The blind kitten immediately clung to the gray cat he met for the first time and refused to let anyone separate them.

Alfie the Tuxedo was one of 16 cats rescued by animal control after being found abandoned in a tent. He weighed just one pound and was the sickest.
The eye could not be saved, but after surgery, the cub’s life was saved: Volunteers from the shelter spent the night talking to him, and the next day he was feeling great, eating well and wanting affection.
While waiting for his foster home, Alfie lay comfortably in his warm bag, allowing his little body to rest and heal.

When volunteers visited him, he woke up from his nap, stretched out, then leaned into their hands to have his chin scratched. His tenacity melted the hearts of everyone at the shelter. They wanted to give him the best life possible, so they reached out to a local rescue group for help.
Nadija, a volunteer with Animal Love Dream Rescue, offered to foster the pup. “Our house was already full but we were really drawn to adopting this pup,” Nadija said.

Among her cats was Milo, a grey kitten who was alone outside and in need of love. He had a kind nature and quickly bonded with the other kittens when he met them.
While Milo ran around with the other foster kids, Alfie was in another room nearby, trying to make sense of new smells and sounds.

Alfie didn’t seem to mind being blind at all, and continued to navigate the world with ease using his other superior senses. Soon after, he was curled up in his foster mum’s arms and fast asleep.
“He loves to be held and spends most of the day sitting on my lap and purring while I’m at work.”
They quickly became friendsNadija
After a week of settling in with his foster parents, Alfie was ready to join the other kittens. To everyone’s surprise, Alfie was immediately drawn to Milo, playing with him, wrestling with him and following him everywhere.
Milo didn’t mind Alfie playing roughly, even with his teeth and claws. He was incredibly patient with the energetic little tuxedo. “It was impressive to see how quickly Alfie settled in, tidied up his room and made new friends.”

Even though he had several playmates, Alfie was drawn to Milo and wanted to join in everything Milo did.
While Milo snuggled peacefully with his foster mom, Alfie ran over and grabbed Milo’s leg, urging him to play.

This mischievous little tuxedo loves to run around the room wreaking havoc, pounces on any toys he can get his hands on while chirping, and even happily engages in a wrestling match.
Finding out that Milo was using the cat tree inspired Alfie to try it out. Soon, he was snuggled up comfortably next to his best friend. “I’m so proud of little Alfie for figuring out how to get up the cat tree and get down safely.”

Milo has never met a stranger but is especially gentle with Alfie, who he tolerates all his antics and has taught him cat manners and boundaries.
Alfie is very attached to his best friend Milo. “Even though he gets along well with the other foster parents, he only plays with Milo.”
Nadija
One Saturday, while Milo was at the vet’s office, Alfie noticed that Milo was not there and started “looking” for him. He walked around the room meowing. Even though there were other cats around, he seemed to miss Milo and wanted to find him.
“When Milo came back he was so happy.”

Since then, the two have been inseparable, napping side by side, grooming each other, cuddling and often getting into playful wrestling fights.
Alfie loves living with his companion Milo, and the two of them travel together and are never apart.
