A kitten was found wandering on the street. It took Nicole, a compassionate animal rescuer, several days to finally catch her. With the help of Minnesota Pet Haven, she was placed in a foster care facility.
The kitten, estimated to be 12 weeks old, was initially scared and anxious, but the fear in her eyes disappeared once she realized she was safe. Although he was unsteady, he showed unstoppable energy and was enjoying his new life as an indoor cat.
“After eating, the kitten played for hours and it was amazing,” said Chris Kaiser, a rescue volunteer and advocate for tottering kittens.

“She has a congenital condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which causes problems with balance and coordination. She is mildly affected, so she moves around pretty well, but her runs are a little more jumpy. Masu.”
Chris started bringing the kitten, named Grasshopper, to work to keep her socialized. “All she does all day is play, purr, nap, and distract the workers.”

The grasshopper was excited about all the new toys and tried to play with them all at once. “I have to chew them all before I choose my favorite. I can’t believe that just 10 days ago she was a stray cat living on the street.”
As she became more comfortable with people, she began using her charm to request food and attention.

When Chris entered the room with food, the grasshopper rolled out of bed and glided to his foster parents. “You’ll hear a few cute chirps saying hello. Then everything rolls around.”
Eventually, she snuggled into my lap, her purring filling the room. “Katydids are very small cuddle bugs.”

“She loves to play and has a lot of energy. Her wobbles don’t slow down at all. Her favorite toys include plastic springs that she can flap and chase, stuffed animals that she carries in her mouth,” There are big toys for rabbits, etc. Kicks, tower trucks are great fun… Basically, katydids love all kinds of toys, and there are a lot of them.
“I let her run around the office after most of my colleagues go home at night. She just does funny antics.”
When kittens are tired of playing, they love to curl up in a cozy bed or lap and snuggle with their companions and feline friends.
“Uncle Calvin (the native cat) came down to play with the grasshopper and she was very active for this boy. She liked to put her upper legs up off the couch. While Calvin was overwhelmed, he Come upstairs and have your own zoomies (no worries about katydid attacks).

After several weeks in foster care, Kirigid’s dream came true when he met his forever mother, Taylor, new cat siblings with identical markings, Ed and Otis, and golden retriever Dolly.
They knew she would enjoy keeping all her furry siblings on guard.

“She quickly settled into the house and started exploring and playing,” Taylor said.
Kirigid, now CC or Cecilia, has blended in perfectly with her new home, as if she had always belonged there. Dolly became obsessed with the kitten and rescued him. And soon the two began seeking each other out to play and cuddle.
