Welcome to Dogstar’s Wednesday Dog! Every Wednesday, we share a story from one of our dog stars. This week we’re talking about the dynamic duo, draper and Lou, of Megan and Dachshund.
In honor of Valentine’s Day this week, I decided to write a poem and a small song dedicated to my sweet little love, draper, and lou. I’m not a poet or songwriter, so I chose to write these little odes as a fun play for famous and famous melodies.
These were so much fun to think about, so I hope you enjoy singing along with them. Maybe they will inspire you to write your own little melody for your Valentine’s Day pet!

My beloved Waynes,
Roses are red, and so are toys.
My dachshund duo, you bring in endless joy.
Your little feet run, your tail swings with talent,
Two small hearts explode with love and attention.
Your bark fills the air and you snuggle firmly,
Both you and every day are pure joy.
Through the blanket, you dig holes and create the perfect nest,
Two little adventurers who know me the best.
I have a treat in my pocket and kiss the cue,
My world spins both the draper and the lou.
Draper, my charm, very dapper and sweet,
Miss Lu brings suspension with her fast feet.
From morning sprints to naps on lazy days,
Draper and rue, you fill our lives with laughter.
There are so many things to share with floppy ears,
Every moment is sweet with you as a pair!

Draper, rue, you fill my days with cheers

Two best friends are unshakable
There are no paths lined up and given up
Love was made for Draper & Rue!
