A 15-year-old cat named Buggy was brought to the veterinary clinic after his family decided they no longer wanted him. He was in good health for his age and was very friendly with the staff.
The veterinary team learned of Buggy’s situation and were not willing to give up on him. They offered to rescue him so he could have a chance at a happy life. Buggy was full of confidence and quickly charmed everyone at the clinic.
“During his stay he was with the front desk receptionist and followed him everywhere,” said Celine, of Chatton Orphelin in Montreal.

Buggy was the star of the day, welcoming patients and their families, snuggling up to staff and purring soothingly. He walked around with his tail held high and acted like the perfect assistant, putting a smile on everyone’s faces.
“The other animals didn’t bother him at all. Buggy was very sweet and just wanted attention. He was happy for everyone to pick him up and hold him.”

Buggy is doing well, but his back legs are a little weak. “X-rays showed everything was normal, he just walks a bit like an old man and his back legs slip sometimes.”
A rescue volunteer took him into their foster home, where Buggy quickly settled in.

“He’s a senior dog but still a baby at heart. He loves catnip toys, rubbing his face against them and purring wildly.”
Buggy sometimes eats with his front paws, picking up dog food and putting it in his mouth like a refined gentleman. “He’s very quiet, so he always makes little meows to get our attention.”

The cute teddy bear has found his favorite sunbathing spot by the window, where he can watch the little creatures, the neighbors and the world going on.
He gets along well with the other cats in the house and is especially drawn to his older feline friends.
