Twin kittens making a fresh start have welcomed another cat into their family and formed a sweet bond with them.

Just three weeks old, kittens Button and Truffle were found outside without their mother and in urgent need of bottle feeding. Angela, a volunteer foster parent, stepped in to care for them.
The first few days were difficult as the twins suffered from stomach issues and required supportive care. Angela bottle-feeded Button 24 hours a day and also gave him tube feedings when he lost his appetite.
Thanks to her devoted care, they became energetic, mastered the toilet and found comfort in each other’s embrace.

“Even though he wasn’t feeling well, he loved to purr and meow whenever he saw people,” Angela said.
After a week of intensive care and sleepless nights in foster care, the kittens have recovered with new energy and strong appetites. Soon they were back to their usual cheerful demeanor.

Once the kittens were completely weaned, Angela breathed a sigh of relief and was finally able to get some well-deserved rest.
The twins have grown into loving and playful kittens, following their foster parents everywhere. For their first venture beyond the room, they braved the stairs. One of them stopped, glanced back, and encouraged his brother to follow.

While caring for the twins, Angela learned of a small ginger tabby who was lonely and looking for companionship.
Ginger Abraxos was orphaned at just three days old and brought to the Yolo SPCA where he was hand-reared from the beginning. Having been raised by people all his life, he was attached to them and always sought their attention.

“As he grew older, we realized he needed friends his own age to play with and teach him appropriate cat behavior,” Angela told Love Meow.
Thinking it would be a great match, they introduced Abxos to twins who were around Abxos’s age. Ginger was a little hesitant at first because she had never met a kitten her size before.

“There was quite a bit of hissing and tail bulging the first night.” But by the next day, things had completely changed.
Despite the stress of the previous day, a good night’s sleep worked wonders. They woke up playing together as if they had been best friends forever.

Mr. Abraxos snuggled close to the twins, gently wiping their faces to keep them warm. He moved around with Button while Truffle scrambled to catch up.
“The truffle is about 200 grams smaller than the two animals, so I like watching it (from the sidelines).”

Baton protected Abraxos, guided him and taught him the ways of cats. “They’re about the same size and both are very playful. Their energies match each other perfectly.”
One morning, Angela came into the house and found the three dogs huddled together. Her heart instantly melted at the sight. “They chose the smallest box they could squeeze into.”

Abxos no longer feels lonely because he has two feline friends to frolic with. All three were orphans, but now they have exactly what they needed: the warmth and playful companionship of each other.
“When it’s nap time, the kittens often choose to sleep together and cuddle. It’s really heartwarming to see them become best friends.”

With a second chance, these kittens have grown into beautiful young cats. The twins now have a new sibling, and Trabby no longer has to sleep alone at night.
