They made space for the cat and her eight kittens, and brought them out of shelter and gave them a fresh start.

When Alley Cat Rescue heard about shelter and the needy kitten, they quickly jumped into action.
They were struggling with the noise and uncertainty of the shelter after seeing photos of her mother surrounded by her eight kittens. Without hesitation, they created space for the whole family and welcomed them into their care.
“They were rough shape. Mom was physically overwhelmed and was trying to feed such a big trash,” the rescue shared.

A family of nine quickly settled into their cozy nursery, a comfortable upgrade from the busy shelter. Within a few days, the kitten began to gain weight and strength.
“Within a week of human help and love, a huge difference has been made and everyone is beginning to look good.”

When Mooch struggled to hold back the food, they brought her back to the vet. She was thin and fighting infections, so they started her with medication and liquids.
“We’re doing everything we can to help her heal and feel comfortable.”

Even if she was passing by, Mooch tirelessly cared for the kitten, keeping her nourishing and clean. For the first time, she made sure someone had looked after her and had everything she needed to thrive.

Volunteers were restocking kittens to ease the load on moms. When the little ones started eating themselves, the volunteers were able to sigh of Ah Relief, knowing they were OK.

Mooch is a little rock star and dots the kitten even when she’s not doing her best. Now that her appetite has returned, she eagerly stays at the edge of her playpen whenever she feels the food is in the middle.
With all the kittens weaned, moms can finally enjoy their natural break. “We are very happy for them.”
