These three kittens (Nick, Clementine, and Holly) learned new skills from their five tabby friends as soon as they arrived at their foster home.

Asa, a Kitten Rescue Life volunteer, stepped up to care for the trio when another volunteer needed help. At 10 weeks old, the kittens were fun and playful and eager for new adventures.

They quickly got used to their new space and were overjoyed to discover that they weren’t the only ones with trash in the room.

Just a few feet away, in another playpen, were five tabby dogs snuggled comfortably in a large cat bed.

Born from a stray cat who was later taken in by a rescuer, the tabby still had some growing up to do and skills to hone before he was ready for adoption. They quickly grew into the loudest purring cuddling animals, swarming each other whenever their adoptive mother came in.

“We put the kittens in separate enclosures so they get used to each other,” Asa said.

Within a few days, the hissing had subsided considerably and the kittens became increasingly curious about each other. “We started to see more instances of them trying to play with each other across the divider, so we did a short trial of putting all eight of them in the same space.”

By the next day, they were fully integrated. “They are friendly and playful with each other, and I started getting greeted by these kittens all at once.”

As the tabby cats eagerly jump on top of their foster mother and meow for attention, the three newcomers quickly follow suit, forming a cozy kitten blanket that completely covers their laps. did.

The trio had never shared a lap with the other five kittens before, but now they felt very cozy with their new furry friends snuggled next to them.

Tabby dogs, with a shared love of cuddles, warmly accepted the trio as part of the crew.

Asa is not only their “food lady” but also their favorite “cat bed”. As soon as she sits down, all eight of them pile on top of her, filling the room with their squealing and purring sounds.

The two kittens swim together, zooming at each other, jumping on toys and performing parkour tricks around the room. When they get tired, they turn into little purring machines and groom each other before falling asleep.

Inheriting the tabby cat, the three kittens have become full-fledged lap cats.

The kittens happily hog Asa’s lap for hours on end, so Asa brings in her laptop to watch shows while the kids nap. “You’ll fall asleep arm and leg in a puddle, but it’s worth it.”

These eight purring lap cats will make this winter even warmer and cozier for their foster family.
