A woman goes to the shelter and sees a kitten in need, but she brings the young cat who stole the show home.

Lori White, a volunteer at ARPO (Responsible Pet Ownership), thought she was only a regular visit to the local shelter, but she brought the kitten home with her instantly raised energy levels.
“I went to see a kitten in need of other foster parents. This little girl (lavender) was marked ‘immediate’ due to lack of space. Single kittons are difficult in shelters.
“I reached into her cage and pet her. She immediately began paring.”

Lori wasn’t planning on taking more foster parents, but when she learned about the lavender situation, she confronted her help. “She’s about seven weeks and weighs just over two pounds.”
Before Lavender was ready to interact with the other cats, Lori set up a cozy corner for her in the office, and Lavender quickly appointed herself as a four-legged assistant.

“Lavender probably has the bluest eyes of a kitten I’ve seen. She’s my office assistant, hanging out in her bed and playing in my office during her quarantine hours.
Eventually she jumped into Lori’s lap and stared at her, making sure all the attention was on her.

She wrapped her legs around the arms of her foster parents. Lori didn’t get much work done, but the raucous little troublemaker brightened her day with constant entertainment.
She inspected every item on the desk with endless energy, as if she had a battery that had no juice left.

Once she left the shelter she quickly entered her own indoors, zoomed around the spacious room, working on all the toys on her path, expanding the cat post like an acrobatic. She raised the energy of the house to 11 with her infinite attitude.
When she finally had the free reins of the house, she decided to be at the center of every action.

While Lori and her family were busy working on the puzzle, Lavender decides to lend her foot by diving into the pile of pieces. She then casually took a walk across the table and channeled her inner Godzilla.
Lavender may not have been the most traditional helper, but she was always able to bring smiles to everyone’s faces.

“Lavender also has a very sweet and perfect side to it, and I’m not afraid of big dogs.”
When she met one of the resident dogs, she greeted him with a gentle tap of nose and attempted a playful wrestling. While she wreaked havoc in the kitchen, the gentle giant stayed nearby, enjoying her chaotic presence.

When the family came to visit her, she decided to draw charm and beat them. They fell headlong for a small bundle of energy, especially their boy. “He has his room all set up for her. It’s a beautiful sunroom filled with cat trees and window perches.”
Almost a month after becoming a foster parent, my dream of lavender came true.

Now she has a big family, with two cat siblings showing her ropes and helping her line up. “Her name is officially Kellin Lavender. Despite all her insanity, she is so sweet and always brings laughs.”
