One day, an orange cat wandered on a stranger’s pouch, settling in a sunbathing and nap on the bench.
With friendly and sweet things, he quickly won the hearts of the residents. She excluded food and set up a cozy bed on the porch to make him comfortable. The tabby, named Fishstick, returned and quickly turned the pouch into a home.
For a while he was eaten, worshiped and cared for by his caretaker.

Impressed by his sweet and loving temperament, the residents were unable to take him, so they wanted the best for him. She reached out to the local rescue and raised him, hoping to find a loving home he deserves.
“The fishsticks kept showing up for his meals and snuggled up in their favourite beds in search of pets, but it was clear to everyone who met him that they had made excellent indoor cats when the opportunity came,” Tails High shared.

“When we first saw a picture of a fish stick, we were smited. That adorable face, a small wobble to his stroll – from an old injury, and the way he leaned in for a chin screching, this boy was made for a good life.”
The volunteers took him to foster parents and within 24 hours he transformed into the ultimate embrace bug.

Fishstick was with volunteer Kate and stayed temporarily until his foster parents were ready to welcome him into their home.
Shortly after he arrived he climbed onto her lap, melting into a puddle of bliss, kneading the air with his front legs. “He is already cuddled, happy drooling, rubbing his belly, and wanting to be the most perfect boy.

In the moment he settled down with his foster parents Andrew and Lucy, he was in their lap and soaked in all the love he could have. He leaned against them, clutching his shirt, and ran up the storm, making up for the lost time.
“Kate warned us that he was a true embrace bug, but we were shocked at how quickly he trusted him,” the rescue added.

“Since coming indoors, he has been making the greatness of a safe house bloom. He enjoys the company of his foster brothers and finds a sunny spot in the window when he’s not in your lap.”
He drives humans out like shadows and chats as if to share stories as if he is lost from his time.

Essentially four years ago, Fishstick has spent most of his life wandering the streets. Now that he is indoors, he is making the most of his new life.

As soon as he stepped into the toy, his playful spirit was alive. Overjoyed, he rolled over it, wrestled with it, and played towards the contents of his mind.
The days of cleaning and searching for shelter for food are over. Now the fish stick has a roof over his head, a perfect belly, and a loving man who reassures him that he is the happiest he ever has, and that he adores.

With the help of many caring individuals, Fishstick is finally living the life he has always dreamed of. He is the sweetest companion, cuddles his people, showers them with gentle pills and all the love he can offer.
