The man sets out to help him get lost, but instead ends with the rap cat.

An independent animal rescuer, Thomas heads out to lock up a stray during her pregnancy, but instead ends up with a charming orange cat.
To my surprise, the orange tabby was incredibly friendly and excited to find it. “With the second Thomas opened the (humanitarian) trap, Sunny (the cat) was making biscuits, bowing and making them like he owns the place,” Little Wanderers NYC shared.
He was at home soon, so it was clear that Sunny had never intended the street.

At about two years old, Sunny was a bundle of love, constantly drawn to the affection that turned the sunflowers into the sun.
Shortly after he was brought inside, he confidently jumped onto the rescuer’s lap, claiming it was his new perch. The instant-trap cat fills the air with a purr, his legs kneading with satisfaction.

Sunny curled up with his human, leaning against the extra snuggle. He enjoyed himself with the wounds on his gentle face, tilting his head and sucking up all the love. After his time on the street, he was clearly making up for the lost time.
Due to limited resources, Thomas turned his attention to the Little Wanderers New York team.

“You don’t know that he’s lived a very intense street life when he was a young man, but his body carries the scars of battle and wears it to survive as much as he can. He’s very friendly and clearly intended to be rescued.”
Given his sweet and loving nature, the rescue believed that Sunny once knew the comfort of the house before he was abandoned.

“He trusts people despite failing him.”
After he was thoroughly examined, he still needed extra care for his stomach problems. Michelle, a dedicated foster parent volunteer at Little Wanderers New York, opened her home to a lovable boy and cared for him while she was on her path to full recovery.

Above his head was a roof and abundant love, Sunny turned into the ultimate Velcro cat. He chased his foster mom everywhere, curled up inside her hoodie and totted like a precious baby.
He enjoyed preparing with Michelle.

“Sunny lives in his name because everything around him is as warm as a golden sun with warm cinnamon and butter shades, wrapped in his kind little heart.
Sunny’s new dad is an educator working with unaccompanied children, many of whom face serious challenges.

“[Sunny is] wonderful. I hope my cat friend will help me recharge my battery. I can do good things and provide a safe home for abandoned cats on the streets,” Sunny’s new dad shared.
As if Sunny knew only what his father needed, he was now always close and filling his days with Purrs and a little extra sunlight.
