A kind person found a poorly shaped kitten outside. With his mother in sight, they gently scooped him up and took him safely.
When Chatons Orphelins Montreal was asked to help him, their rescue team immediately welcomed him into their care. “A kitten named Ziggy was only two months old and had ataxia, so she moved with (mild) trembling,” the rescue shared.
Nonetheless, the kitten stopped him.

Ziggy arrived with several health issues, including mouth ulcers, runny nose and stomach problems. He was entrusted to a dedicated volunteer, who helped him to eat carefully and defeat his fever.
He likely had endured these problems for a while, but now he was finally on his way to recovery.

For the first two weeks, his foster parents fed him by hand, making him stronger each day. Despite his rough start, his spirit remained unshakable. After all the feeding, he cuddled with the caregiver and sucked up all the love and attention.
“He began to improve significantly. He stopped drooling, he healed the ulcers on his tongue, and finally started eating it himself.”

With excellent care and nourishing food, Ziggy quickly recovered and was ready to play. It wobbles a little, but he never lets it slow down. Whenever he fell, he would immediately go back.
He ventures everywhere with enthusiasm. Ruptured with energy, he can continue for hours and play a bunch of true joy.

“When it takes time to play with him, he loves it. If he wants to pay more attention, he will come rushing to let you know.”

Ziggy is in his element when he is around the other cats and is always ready to wrestlery and race. His wobble never weakens his enjoyment. “He’s having a bit of a pain in adjusting,” but he can’t stop, climbing up to the sofa, a big bed, and even a cat tree.
“His foster parents say they ‘zigzag’ him when he runs. ”

With a fearless attitude, Ziggy is not afraid of height and loves to watch over her house and neighbourhood from the perches in her windows. He’s a bit dynamo, but he’s also grateful for the quiet moments.
He formed an adorable friendship with another foster parent who is partially deaf, but who shares Ziggy’s lifelong enthusiasm.

Both are confident, brave and adventurous. They go out for walks with their foster parents, breathe fresh air and enjoy the warm sunshine. “His first walk in the harness was very exciting for him and he absolutely loved it.”
He surrounded the grass and examined every tree in his path.

When he finally gets exhausted from all the rampage and performance, he works with his people on the couch. At the time of the bed he joins them and wraps under the cover to keep him warm and cozy.
