A kitten named Sebastian arrived at Best Friends Cats last month, hoping for a chance to live a better life. “From the moment his foster parents picked him up, he hadn’t stopped pulling or made small biscuits,” the rescue shared.
He originally surrendered to a veterinary clinic and needed medical care for his broken leg. “Sebastian is an absolute trooper and it appears he doesn’t realize he’s suffered such serious injuries.”
All he wanted was affection and snuggle, never letting him slow or dampen his happy misfortune.

Under the orders of the doctor, Sebastian had to take a crate rest for a while to keep him safe. He wasn’t excited, but he made the most of the snuggle stuffed toys given to the company.
“He loves to snuggle with his caregiver for a nap in a carefully constructed pillow fort.”

After a week of gentle, loving care, they received great news from experts. With his limbs adjusted and cast, the kitten was on his way to fully recover.

Even if the cast continued, Sebastian decided to run and play (under careful supervision). When he was tired of all his adventures, he was willing to bend his foster neck and do well-earned snooze.

Sebastian enjoys going for a walk with his foster parents and riding in his own tank (a stroller).

He continued to walk daily with his foster parents and showered him with affection. “He really mastered the art of playing and playing zoom with the cast. He’s still a super snugger and more than anything, he loves to hold him.”
They discovered that his love for other cats is as strong as his love for people. “He didn’t show any reservations when it came to playing and cuddles with them.”

This week, Sebastian was no longer able to cast and got a green light to run in the wild and uninterrupted. “He certainly makes up for the lost time.”

It’s hard to believe he had a broken leg just a few weeks ago. Now he’s bouncing, jumping on perches, climbing onto his bed, engaged in the antics of all sorts of playful kittens.
