As residents tried to save the stray kitten trash wandering on her balcony, a new face would appear one day and ready for a fresh start.
After taking one of the kittens to Chatton Orphellin’s Montreal (Cat Rescue), residents continued their search for the remaining two littermates. They eventually returned for food and brought another cat.
Though not part of the garbage, the new kitten, Hanya, followed the other kittens to a food source.

“The woman had never seen her before, but Hanya was so hungry that she reached the humanitarian trap.
For months, Hanya had never experienced human contact. She was scared, leaning towards the corner with wide eyes. Her thin frame was evident under her coat, and she had eye infections and stomach problems.

For a while, she moved away from the unfamiliar things. Too much noise and activity will retreat into a quiet space. She slowly warmed to her new environment, and another gentle kitten warmed her as a companion.
“It took Hanya a little while to come out of her shell, but she eventually came to love other friendly cats and unlimited food and her new life.”

She began filling out and didn’t worry about her next meal anymore. Her eyes softened as she watched the other kittens interact with people and play with fun energy. One day, she took a leap of faith and leaned against her warm lap for the first time.
“Hanya is a sweet, gentle, loving kitten. When she gains her trust, she becomes a cute pill machine that she loves to spend time with you.”

She has made incredible advances in socialization and is growing more lovingly and more every day. Something new draws her attention, and she strangely looks at her from afar before diving into the fun.

With her new self-confidence, her playful side has come to life completely. She moves around, wrestling with other kittens and enjoys going into all sorts of pranks. “She worships other cats and is immediately relieved with them.”

Instead of hiding in the horns, Hanya now wants time to hug her human. She often jumps on the couch with them and falls asleep on her lap. “This beautiful bundle of fur has come a long way since she arrived.”

Having another cat of her age really encouraged her to try something new. Hanya has become surprisingly close with another foster parent named Matav.
Matav chases her like a small shadow, grooming her every time she hugs her for a nap.

Hanya appeared on her hungry balcony on that fateful day. Now she is thriving and enjoys the warmth of a playful kitten company and her beloved foster parent.
