After learning that the kitten was in critical condition, Alley Cat Rescue volunteers sprang into action to save it. “At just three to four weeks old, she was a little bag of bones, her eyes were closed and she was barely keeping herself warm,” said a rescue worker.
The kitten, Moira, was only half the expected size and suffered from an upper respiratory infection caused by fleas and severe anemia. “Her condition was poor, but we could see her fighting spirit. We rushed her to the hospital for emergency treatment. After treatment, she developed an appetite and tried to chew on the bottle of formula.”
As they gently washed her face, they discovered her tiny eyes hidden under all the gunk.

Thanks to the dedicated care of her veterinary team and foster family, she started to improve and was purring again.
Initially, they feared that she would be permanently blind from the damage to her eyes, but they never stopped trying to restore her sight.

With treatment, a nutritious diet, and plenty of TLC, Moira continued to make progress. She ate a lot and worked hard to gain weight and gain strength.
“Her eyes look brighter, she’s more alert than ever, and she even responds with sweet little meows when she hears our voices. We hope she grows stronger every day. I am dedicated to helping.”

She hit the ground running, hugging Kitten’s soul, exploring every nook and cranny of the playpen, and shining a light every time her canine friend Snoopy came to play.
“Moira was completely enchanted as she sniffed the puppy and Snoopy gently licked her face. Watching them explore each other’s worlds – Moira’s curiosity and Snoopy’s playfulness – brought life to us. It reminded me of the simple joy of

“She’s spending her days with the big cats now and really finding her place among them. It’s so much fun to watch her wrestle with the older cats. I had one and it quickly became my favorite playmate.”
As Moira’s eyes cleared, she gradually regained her sight, revealing a beautiful amber color.
