A cat came as a mousetrap. Almost 20 years later, he’s still a kitten at heart and has found his dream place.

About 18 years ago, Midnight the Cat met a kind woman who fed and cared for community cats near her building.
Friendly and appreciative, he quickly charms a woman and is adopted as a mousetrap. The two lived together until the woman retired and moved to another state to live with her family. Unfortunately, they were unable to take Midnight with them.
Fiore, a foster volunteer with New York City Little Wanderers, learned of the leopard’s plight and took him into her home.

Midnight quickly settled into his new quiet home and his kind and gentle personality shined through. He watched over his foster family from room to room, always ready for petting and attention.
Even as she grew older with various health issues, Midnight never slowed down, especially when it came to playtime.

The moment I found my favorite toy, my youthful energy flared up and I was ready to pounce. Midnight, a kitten at heart, never tires of chasing toys, doing what comes naturally to her as a mousetrap.
Fior kept himself in good shape for his next adventure. Midnight doesn’t like being alone, and longs for a home where she can spend her later years feeling well cared for.

When a veterinary technician happens to find Midnight, she is charmed by his kind gaze and kind personality. Understanding his needs, she decided to give him a wonderful rest of his life.
Just last month, his dream finally came true. “He will always be loved in the way he deserves,” Little Wanderers NYC said.
Midnight loves Winnie the Pooh’s bed@yeoldemidnight
Midnight moved into his forever home and quickly occupied his favorite place – the cozy nook of Winnie the Pooh’s honeypot bed.
In addition to being an expert mouse catcher, he is also a master of cat “loafers,” keeping his front paws neatly tucked in when sitting. He follows his forever family everywhere, attracted by the soft blankets and warmth of the sun’s rays.

Now every morning, Midnight emerges from her comfy bed, stretches as wide as she can, and heads straight for her humans in search of a pet or a kiss. After a morning snuggle, he’ll be content to take another nap.
He loves lounging in the sun with his friends and listening to TV. However, as soon as the wand toy appears, he jumps into action and chases it with amazing kitten-like speed.

He jumps on the bed to be closer to his mother, purring quietly, nuzzling her gently and silently begging for affection. Nothing brings him more joy than being with his family.
“Look at those amazing eyes. Everyone wants to hug him tight and kiss him,” the veterinarian said.

Lately, Midnight has been spending a lot of time snoozing with her new feline best friend. He has a sister, Miss Tabby, to keep him company, so he will never be alone again.
The two share a large bed, basking in the warm sunlight and creating a beautiful bond.

At 18 years old, Midnight still has the soul of a kitten, savoring quiet time in the sun and occasionally bursting with playful energy.
Having always had company to share his golden years with, he couldn’t be happier to have found a place to call his own.
