The cat has lived in church for many years. One day, she began chasing after someone she trusted, and ultimately changed her life.

For many years, gray and white cats lived in the church, capturing the hearts of churchmen and passersby. Among her admirers was Stephanie B, a volunteer at Little Wanderers New York.

“Every day I passed by, I made a little click sound in my mouth, and she knew it was me, and she came to run to me, her wounds, pets , and hopefully shout and demand snacks,” Stephanie shared, fond of Me.

“She was very friendly and she was attracting attention from the start.”

For a while, Stephanie thought that the cat glow was part of the church until he spoke to the church members.

The glow was a wandering refuge in the church and relied on the kindness of strangers. She bravely confronted many harsh winters and hot summers, and survived the dangerous streets of the city. “I was totally shocked by how friendly she is.”

Whenever the glow saw Stephanie, she slipped through the fence to say hello to her, chasing the storm. “I was told that if I wanted, I could save her.”

Over the next few months, the glow disappeared from her usual place. When Stephanie finally saw her again, she contacted the Little Wanderers New York team. “After about a week of checking every day, the glow came back to the church.”

“I heard her breathing, and that was a bad thing. I could say she had a bad up-respiratory tract infection and it was really cold,” added Stephanie. “I told Sparkles to chase me. She did it often – she knows she gets a can of wet food. She’s got a hand with my career with food. He waited outside while I went in to get in.”

When Stephanie placed the can on her carrier, the glow quickly walked to mark the end of the chapter.

Glitter rushed to the vet for the treatment and care she desperately needed. “She was making biscuits all day in the vet’s office. She was so happy, happy and grateful to be indoors,” Little Wanderers NYC shares.

With rescue assistance, Sparkles recovered for several days at the hospital. When she felt better she moved to foster parents with Michelle M.

After wandering the streets for years, Shine stepped into her first love home. It was still her first time around, but she quickly found comfort and security from her foster parents.

“When we got her, she was very friendly. She loved us right away or munched us,” Michelle told Love Meow.

“On the first day she sometimes scared the sound, sometimes hiding under things, but she was very trusted (more than my resident).”

Sparkles is so happy to be safe that she often tweaks humans and gets appreciative. “What she likes is to become a pet on her head. She literally can’t get enough of it. If she’s a pet, she has to constantly walk back and forth yeah.”
