A grey and white pregnancy wandered into the NYPD Mount Unit in search of food and shelter. Perhaps the horse in the stable had attracted her.
The cat decided to stay after realising that people were kind and the food was plentiful. Soon she brought the kitten into the world. They set up a cozy nursery for their new mom and her three trash.
To receive the care and support the mothers needed, they contacted Meagan, president of Puppykittynycity, for assistance.

Megan immediately offered to take the feline family to her care and headed out to pick them up.
Named the neighbor, the cat is surrounded by precious trios (trotters, canters, gallops) in the comfortable nest of the mounted unit. She was very protective of the kitten, but when she petted her she leaned harder.

After saying goodbye to the staff and horses, Megan took the four family members to foster parents.
She provided comfortable spaces with food, fresh water, toys and a cub scrub where her mother could feel safe with her kitten. Once her neighbor settled down, she insisted on leaving to eat young and barely eat.

She was initially nervous when Megan brought her food. Once she realized that her foster mom was going well, she warmed her up, forgiven the chin scar, and even let Megan measure the baby.
She watched closely as her foster parents took the kitten along for a regular measurement.

The moment the kitten peeked, she jumped over to make sure they were OK and soothe them with a gentle nudge. “She’s very protective of them and is a very good mom,” Megan shared with her love Mu.
During the week, Trotter, a small grey tabby was the smallest of the garbage.

Trotter continued to make a steady profit with his siblings, becoming round and fluffy every day.
Megan monitors growth every day and is ready to provide supplemental feeding and support whenever necessary. As soon as she returns the kitten to her neighbor, the sweet mom will lovingly shallow them.

“Small babies like these don’t just show up at shelters ready for adoption, they’re needed for 24 hours to care, bottle feed, or to survive with moms.
Feeling relaxed and safe, the neighbor moved from her caccrib to a larger area filled with soft blankets.

With their eyes open, the kitten almost wobbles, ready to explore. Their moms will look at them carefully, give them the essential bath and cleanse them up to sleep after nursing.
Kittens grow dramatically, each with a healthy, round belly.

Recently, the rescue has acquired two orphan kittens who desperately needed help. “These people are only a day or two ago. It’s best to be with your mom. I’m trying to see if my mom’s neighbors will accept them.”
“I think she’s going to do that. She’s a very good mom.”
