Sleeping Master: Where and How Cat Star Snooze’s Wednesday Cat

By SecretWuff 7 Min Read

Welcome to Catstar’s Wednesday Cat! Every month, we ask cat-loving cat stars to consider new topics. This week we asked them to talk about their cat’s favorite sleeping location and position! This is what they had to say:

Crystal & Ivy

Hello Catstar!

In some of my previous posts I touched on the fact that Ivy likes to sleep like many other cats. Especially sleeping!

Cozy Ivy in a crystal bed

She sleeps in our bed every night and rarely chooses a bed as a place to sleep during the day. We have the ritual all night as follows:

1. At about 10pm, she gets off the cat tree and joins in the couch blanket.
2. Upon riding on the blanket, she becomes comfortable enough and drifts away. Sleep positions here vary. Sometimes she’s a neat little circle. She is also a croissant. In rare cases, she exposes her small belly and allows us to touch it for a few seconds.
3. 10:30 PM is bedtime for our humans and of course she has to join us. My fiance scoos her up in the position she decides to fall asleep.
4. I take her blanket (very quickly) and make a little nest for her in the bed next to my pillow.
5. The terming parcel is placed in a warm and safe nest and is given more (but definitely more) than five goodnight kisses.
6. She will stay in the blanket nest until my fiancé wakes up in the morning. She then stands up and receives the rightful Biskitty and returns to the nest until the time comes when it really comes to wake up and faces the day.

During the day she can be found in one of two cat trees, a sunny spot on the sofa. Heppernest bed.

Sleep positions vary widely here too – from hidden circles to backsprowlers and croissants/pretzels. And yes, they are all adorable, and I have over 50 photos on my phone each. That’s because it’s so cute every time.

When I’m lucky, she will choose me as her sleeping place! This will never fail to melt my heart. Nothing in your knees or breasts is closer to comfort than a pulling kitten.

What is your kitten’s favorite snooze spot or position?

Until next time, Catstar!

Isabel & Millie

Like most cats, Millie really likes to sleep. I want vy how much she can snooze. She probably clocks in 10-12 hours a day. Let me share some of her funny and really adorable sleeping postures with you all.

Her (and my) favorites include pancakes, crescent moons, flops, drops and rolls, sphinx, stretch ‘n snooze, seal puppies, and my personal favorite rodents.

Rank them!

In #7, there is spinning solution.

Sphinx's sleep positionSphinx's sleep position

It’s the cold position of the classic Millie. She cools violently from time to time, so she lifts her head and closes her eyes and falls asleep like that. This really resembles the great Sphinx of Giza. The Egyptians would have been proud. 8/10.

#6 has a present moon.

Beautiful, mysterious, perfectly round, this is another incredible sleeping position. It’s a rare sighting, so when I see it, I’m really grateful. 8.9/10.

Enter #5 and there’s the stretch ‘n snooze.

Sometimes you don’t understand how long Millie’s tiny body is until it stretches from head to toe and is completely linear. It’s very straight and stretchy, so I wish I could stretch it that way. 9.5/10.

In #4, we’re looking at pancakes.

Pancake Millie sleeping flat on the bedPancake Millie sleeping flat on the bed

This may be Millie’s favorite sleeping position, as it is a frequent sighting. Millie is as flat as the pancakes on the ground. If she tries to flatten her, she will be alone on the floor and you won’t even be able to see her. I love it. 9.8/10.

In third place, you need to choose a sticker puppy.

The seal is sleepingThe seal is sleeping

Like the Sphinx, we have a cold position that hits very hard, which turns into an improvised nap. With a seal puppy, it is important that the front paw is pushed in, so it is almost completely hidden, and the legs on the back should resemble the tail of the seal. When she gets cold like this, I completely forget that she is a cat and not a small seal puppy. magnificent. 10/10.

In second place, I got a flop, drop and roll.

why? She is busy walking from point A to point B, and without warning, she actively flops and takes a nap immediately, forgetting her journey wherever she goes. That’s the highlight of my day/100/10.

It is the rodents that take the place they win in my book.

I think this is pretty obvious. Look at her! 1000/10.

Wes and Raphael

Raphael is usually a very capable sleeper. very. He sleeps on the car, in the train, in the bedroom, on the floor, when it’s warm and when it’s cold.

But the other day, it was too bright. That was the last straw.

We were in the bedroom and when I stood up I realized that Raffy was not in his nest. “How strange,” I thought. “Usually in the bedroom he’s either a nest, a bed, or me and Steph.”

Fear rose within me. “What evil is he becoming? What danger is it waiting for us elsewhere in the flat?”

Then I rolled up the bathroom door and he was on the floor just before I turned on the light. In the darkness.

He was lying on the floor, his eyes half open, clearly disturbed by the disturbances of his sleep.

Of course, there was only one thing to do. I stopped the light and put him in peace.
