A shy kitten was spotted sitting in a McDonald’s drive-thru, but once inside, his attitude completely changed.

Last Friday, Claire, a volunteer with Saving Stevie, received a text message about a stray kitten that had been found at her local McDonald’s.
“The kitten had been there since Monday. He was very small and seemed to be crying for help. He would come up to the car and cry but when the door was opened he would run away,” Saving Stevie said.
Claire saw a photo of a kitten in the drive-thru and quickly grabbed her rescue supplies and headed out.

“I immediately got in the car and headed over to pick her up,” Claire told LoveMiao.
Upon arriving, Claire found a stray cat standing directly underneath the speaker where customers order through the drive-thru. Though the kitten was scared, it remained there as if waiting for food to fill its stomach.

She had been alone and hungry for days, running from people who tried to help her. “She was timid and would run away when I got close.”
Claire set a baited humane trap and within five minutes the starving kitten was inside the trap.

After getting the kitten safe, Claire took him home, gave him a quiet room to relax, and lovingly named him Apple.
At first, Apple was scared and confused, looking around the room with anxious eyes, but her fear soon gave way to curiosity and she began to explore her new space.

With enough food and a comfy bed, she started to come out of her shell and seek her rescuer’s attention: “She was scared of me for three minutes straight, then she realized she was safe and started to love me.”
Apple discovered the bathroom sink and quickly claimed it as his throne.

The moment she heard Claire’s voice, she turned to Claire and eagerly asked for a head rub, making sure Claire was close, rubbing herself against her and soaking in the affection.
“She’s very affectionate, purrs loudly and loves to rub her face against me. She was clearly destined to stay in the house forever.”

After Apple was cleaned up by her rescuers, she was wrapped in a towel and cuddled, then quickly hopped onto Claire’s shoulder to look around the room before finally curling up in her arms looking totally content.
When he’s not sleeping with Claire, he’s around her to make up for the lonely days outside.

When she snuggles, her purring is constant and reverberates throughout the room. It’s been almost a week since Apple came inside the house and she has transformed into a lovable snuggly bug.
“Her favorite thing right now is to be cuddled.”

She seems very content with the security of having a roof over her head and not having to worry about where her next meal is coming from.
Apple waited in the drive-thru hoping for a hero to show up, and now she’s thriving in foster care and savoring every moment with her family.
