A pet lover has developed an innovative collar tag. Fido Alerthelping dog owners reunite with their lost pets efficiently and quickly.

“FidoAlert is a game changer,” said John Bradford, founder and CEO of FidoAlert. Texas News, “Years ago, I thought: Why isn’t there a more immediate process for connecting pet owners with lost pets?”

Here’s how Fido Alert works: Register your pet’s information. Website – Name, breed, photo, or other characteristics that can easily identify your dog.

You can then add up to 10 emergency contacts to your dog’s profile, including email addresses and phone numbers.

Once registered, your dog will be given a tag with its name and unique ID. “Our website and QR code allow finders to immediately let us know your pet has been found.” Fido Alert explains in the video.

After scanning the QR code, Bradford explained further: “We collect (the finder’s) name and phone number and then we text that to all 10 people, and everyone gets a text message instantly.”

What’s special about Fido Alert is that it’s easy to use and doesn’t require any apps or special software for either the owner or the finder – all you need is a smartphone with a QR scanner.

Another notable feature is Fido Alert’s “digital flyer”: when you mark your pet as lost, Fido Alert will create a web page just for your pet with all the necessary information, such as your pet’s name, photo, and the time and place it was last seen.

The webpage link can be instantly shared with family and friends via text or email and can be easily posted to social media platforms.

Fido Alert dog collar tags are not a replacement for microchips, but they do provide an easier and more direct way to find a lost dog.

So, if you’re looking for an extra layer of protection for your dog on top of microchipping, Fido Alert might be a good fit.
