A neighbor found a gray kitten in the corner of her flower bed, and when she brought it inside, the kitten made an adorable request.

Sparkle Cat Rescue founder Stephanie Grantham met the tiny grey kitten at the vets’ hospital last weekend. “He weighed just 1.46 pounds and was rolling around happily and showing off,” she told Love Meow.
The kitten, who is just four or five weeks old and has been named Scrunkle, has had a long journey to find a safe place. It all started when Clara, an independent animal rescuer, received a call from her neighbour.
When the neighbor finished mowing the lawn, light was streaming in through my wife’s flower bed and he noticed a small ball of fur moving around in the corner.

He took a closer look and saw that it was a grey kitten, looking up at him with pleading eyes. The little stray had been wandering alone down the street until it stumbled into his neighbor’s yard.
Shortly after the phone call, Clara arrived carrying a large wooden box, but little did we know how tiny and friendly the kitten was.

When she approached Scrunkle, he didn’t flee or run, he called out for help, so Clara simply reached into the flowerbed, scooped him up, and placed him in her arms.
The kitten quickly calmed down and leaned onto its mother for comfort. “She took the kitten home, calmed him down and fed him. She brought the kitten to the clinic the next morning.”

Scrunkle loved the attention and meowed loudly until he was picked up and cuddled. Knowing how much he needed a home, Stephanie offered to adopt him and bring him to his caregivers, Erin and Lauren.
“He didn’t want to go in the carrier so I just held him in a towel on my lap the whole time. All he wanted was to be snuggled.”

The kitten was covered in fleas, dehydrated and a bit lethargic, but always wanted to be close to people. After being treated and cleaned, the kitten was rolling around in a warm lap with his paws up and purring.
“Within a few hours of drinking water, taking Nutricals and eating a good meal, he was completely calm and energized.”

The rumbling of Skrankle never stopped, even as he recovered from his lonely days on the streets.
With the right care and lots of love, he is finally flea free and is recovering from his stomach problems. He has become even more clingy, demanding cuddles and not taking no for an answer.

“He’s a really cuddly, sweet boy. He loves people and wants to be held all day,” Erin said.
When Scrumples’ foster parents enter the room, he rushes over and rubs his soft fur against their legs. When he’s petted, he collapses, purring, and basks in the joy.

Within days in foster care, he had grown into a loving pup and a purring animal.
He will always be close to his foster parents, seeking affection from the moment he wakes up and never missing out on even the slightest bit of love.
