Our experience

Buying personalized items for my pets is something I’ve always loved. They are not only fun to make (and receive!), but also a great way to commemorate the pets I have lost. After researching so many personalized items over the years, I thought I’d seen them all. It saw me until I was introduced! This is a personalized dog book.

After selecting the book, I clicked the “Now Persolize” button. This took me to the personalization page. This is where all the fun happens and you can add details such as your name, your dog’s name, two photos of your puppy, and more. This is also where you can choose illustrations of dogs that look like your furry friend. Some of the varieties they have include Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Beagles, Poodles, Pugs, German Shepherds and Terriers.

In total, there are 12 dog styles to choose from. This isn’t much to consider how many breeds of dogs are, but the illustrations are versatile enough and you’re likely to find something pretty close even if you don’t have an exact breed of dog. I had a bit of trouble finding an illustration that looked like Mika. However, after going back and forth between the two options, I ended up choosing the yellow Labrador Retriever (Dog #1).

The final step is to add a dedication note. This is an option (and free!) and if you’re planning on giving a book to someone else, it’s nice. I keep a book for myself, but there were some sweet and simple messages that pet parents would love, so I included a note.

When the book arrived I was in love with it! Not only is the words hilariously accurate (like you can hear Mika speak while reading the story), but the quality is amazing. The illustrations are beautiful and the pages are thick. Even better, the personalized elements. I love the photos of Mika on the first and last pages, and it’s valuable to see Mika as a manga illustration.

I was also surprised to see my name on every page. If you look closely at the illustrations, you will find dog names and dog names in various drawings. One of my favorites was seeing my name on the coffee mug and Mika’s name in the dog bowl.

This is a very great gift for a serious pet lover. I have already ordered a second book for my family, and I look at how my dog ​​saved Christmas books the next holiday season. I absolutely want to see how Mika saves Christmas!
