Two small kittens rescued from a storm chase everyone around them, believing they are part dog.

In desperate need of a foster home, Tuxedo and Tabby found their way to the Humane Society of Tampa. Weighing about 12 ounces, they were starving for food and love.
Alison, a volunteer foster parent, offered to help and gave them a comfortable place to settle down. It is believed that the two were “found orphaned by a storm and brought in by a Good Samaritan.”
“On the first day they were really struggling because they were hungry. From then on they were so brave and friendly,” Alison told Love Meow.
They were found outside as orphans. Hadley is a little older than Ernie.Alison
Tuxedo Hadley clung to humans when he felt safe. After her belly was full, she demanded to be held, leaning against her foster mother and purring and kneading her little mitts.
Alison worked around the clock to help the kittens get back on track. “I may not have slept much, but the look on your face makes it all worth it.”

Mr. Hadley began venturing outside the playpen and encouraged his younger brother Ernest (or Ernie) to join him.
As soon as the kittens heard the footsteps of the native dog, their eyes lit up with excitement. Wanting to see them, they made a beeline for the canines, munching on their fur and purring incessantly.

Polydactyly Ernie sniffed around his friend’s dog’s giant paws before snuggling into his belly.
Friendly dogs do not mind the kittens nursing, even though there is no milk available. They happily watch them, pounce on them with their tails and wrestle with their floppy ears.
Hadley considers himself part of the group.Alison
Hadley enjoys relaxing next to dogs as if she were part of a pack. Despite being about the size of their feet, she follows them and tries to match their actions.
The fearless Tuxedo behaves as if it is part dog and considers itself equal to the family dog. “Hadley is very loose and loves attention. She’s at her own pace.”

She snuggles up to her friend’s dog as she prepares to snooze.
While Ernie stays with his foster family, Hadley takes many excursions around the house and plays with her canine companions. The food bowl just clicks, and they both collide like miniature lightning bolts.

“They love to follow me and will wake up and meow as soon as they hear me (probably because I’m feeding them). Now that their bellies are full all the time, Their personalities are starting to shine.”
Hadley, the more sociable of the two, coaxes her brother into climbing a towering cat tree. She shares her favorite scratching tool with him and takes him to her canine friends.

No more walking around outside alone. The kittens are thriving in their foster homes. They have each other and a large family that ensures that their future is bright and full of love.
Ernie followed Hadley to her dog, Olive, and climbed on top of her for comfort. They cuddled comfortably and fell asleep in her protective embrace.

Just a few days ago, the kittens were outside alone, risking being swept away by the storm. They are now thriving in a foster care home where kind humans pamper them and kind dogs play and cuddle.
