British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has welcomed an adorable Siberian cat into his family. In early September, the cute kitten joined Larry, the famous cat who has been the Chief Mouser in the Cabinet Office at 10 Downing Street since 2011. Larry the cat is well known for leaving witty comments on political and news posts, and he recently gave a humorous response to a photo, in which he exclaimed that he is still the most handsome cat in Downing Street.
Larry the Cat reacts to Keir Sturmer’s photo with his new cat Prince
Larry the Cat recently responded to a photo of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his new cat Prince. The famous Chief Mouser of the Cabinet Office at 10 Downing Street cemented his place in Downing Street with a humorous response. In a post by X featuring a photo of Keir Starmer and a Siberian kitten, Larry the Cat boasted, “My position as the most handsome cat in Downing Street remains as strong as ever.”
He has more than 903,000 followers on social media, and previously poked fun at the cuteness of a white Siberian kitten, whom Larry the Cat reposted a photo of, commenting, “Cutest of all!”
The new photo shows the Prime Minister sitting at his desk with the Prince, while the white-furred Siberian cat rests its adorable little paws on a document as it stares intently into the camera. Keir Starmer seemed delighted to see the cat posing for the photo.
After some negotiation, Starmer and his family replaced the German shepherd with a kitten called Prince, who shares space with Larry and the Prime Minister’s other rescue cat, Jojo.
