Hello, this is Dr. Karin! Read my introduction to learn more about me and my five funny dogs, Poppy, Bailey, Koda, Ned and Fred.

It’s well established – at least I think it has – I’m a huge fan of dog wooden boxes. Whether it’s in the early stages of puppy training or as a long-term retreat for your dog to relax, I think it’s a great idea to provide your puppy or dog with a safe space for you. And for dogs like Koda, whose instincts tell him that he should always be vigilant and warn him of movement, intruders, or pizza delivery, the crate allows him to chase his small space, relax and just worry.

For this reason, the Koda wooden frame was left forever. Without it, he seems to think he needs to be always on alert that he is ready to protect his home. Or, in his case, jump on and get ready to lick anyone coming from the front door.

With the crate installed under the front window, it became a popular place for one of our cats, clutches. Eventually he was joined by Ned and Fred. Ned and Fred found they gave them a fantastic view of their way in and out, just like they were in the warm sun.

As such a small creature, it was no surprise that the clutches and boys were able to make themselves comfortable on the wooden frame. what did But to my surprise, it was when I realized that Koda had begun to enjoy his wooden frame not only from inside but from above!

Whenever Koda does something he is not supposed to be, he tends to turn his head and avoid eye contact. The first time I found him curled up on his crate, assuming he was in trouble, was to avoid the koda, avoiding eye contact, when I first found me.

The crate is built to lock the dogs in place rather than support the weight, and the top bows quite a bit under Koda’s 80 pound frame, but I wasn’t going to tell him when he looked so comfortable and sweet!

There are lots of rooms all

Luckily, even if the Koda’s large frame is relaxing with mezzanine, there’s still plenty of space for the original window pack, especially if the clutch doubles as a warm and fluffy pillow!
