When these two kittens stepped into the house, they started glowing and made their wishes come true in time for the new year.

About a month ago, Tompkins County SPCA volunteer Molly opened her home to two kittens from the shelter for a fresh start.
Kittens Mopsa and Mustard Seed quickly adapted to their new space. Mopsa dozed off in his comfortable bed, and his younger brother, Mustard Seed, walked up to his adoptive mother for attention.
“Mopsa is the softest little ball of calico fluff. She likes to take things at her own pace. Mustard Seed grows with just one less color (and… Cute orange striped tail). He has a dreamy temperament. He is a purr and a natural lap kitten.
Molly
While Mopsa curiously explored and investigated her new surroundings, her younger brother happily followed and was eager to join in on any adventures. Eventually, Molly found them both leaving their pens and running around the room as if they owned the place.
“Mopsa is very observant and is definitely the key to escaping from its cage. You can often see it standing on its hind legs and leaning on something.”

Mustard Seed loved being close to his adoptive mother. He would often roll around her legs while Mopsa nestled peacefully in her lap. Eventually, he curled up on her legs, completely satisfied and relaxed.
“He can sit on it as long as he wants. He plays hard and sleeps well.”

Despite having plenty of cozy napping spots, both kittens chose the glass measuring bowl as their favorite perch.
They stepped into the bowl themselves to ease Molly’s weigh-in. “The kittens have gotten really good at using their self-scale. is.”
Molly
“Mustard Seed got off my lap to eat his dinner for a few seconds, and Mopsa took the opportunity to stretch out and do a lap for himself. Mustard Seed tends to get a little jealous in this situation. there is.”
Instead of struggling with his sister, he wedged himself between Mopsa and his adoptive mother, nestling closer to Molly’s stomach.
Molly
Mopsa was unfazed by his brother’s unbridled energy. Even when he fell on top of her while she was sleeping, she continued to doze off, purring loudly. She also took her grooming duties seriously, washing her brother’s face and cleaning her adoptive mother’s hands before going to sleep.
“These kittens fall asleep as quickly as I fall asleep in front of the TV at night.”
Molly
When he wasn’t curled up in Molly’s lap, he was wrestling with anything his feet could hit.
The kittens quickly reached the 2-pound mark and were ready for adoption. Molly had hoped to find a loving home together before the holidays.

“When she first came to me, Mustard Seed weighed considerably more than Mopsa, but her habit of eating her own food and then moving on to his leftovers meant she almost caught up with Mopsa. Ta.”
After spending several weeks in foster care, the two brothers received the best news they had been waiting for.

A loving family fell in love with the brother-sister duo at first sight and wanted to make their dreams come true. The night before they set off on their new adventure, they spent some quality time cuddling with their adoptive mother.
“The last night we spent at home, it was a really fun time, cuddling in my lap.”

“It took less than 24 hours for them to warm up and ask for cuddles. They are running around like crazy and are napping frequently,” the adopter said. Mustard Seed impressed his new family by jumping through the hole in the center of the cat tunnel, and Mopsa charmed everyone by claiming his lap.
The kittens are enjoying the new year with their forever families in their dream home.
