Jennifer Garner’s 9-year-old golden retriever, Birdie, has passed away, the actress announced on her Instagram on November 27th.
The award-winning actress shared the news in an emotional Instagram post. “It’s hard to know how to write this. It seems strange to mourn the death of a pet, but we shared Birdie with you, so it’s hard to announce her passing. I think it’s natural.” she wrote.
Garner explained that she took her 9-year-old dog to the vet on Thursday. “She wasn’t feeling herself (a famous gourmet, Birdie never missed a meal).”.
“We were shocked to learn that not only was she seriously ill, but she was also at the end of her life.”
Garner also said Birdie was “staying down” until Violet Affleck, her daughter with Ben Affleck, came home from college for Thanksgiving.
“The vet told us that dogs often stay still until their partner gets home from college. We believe Birdie did just that. We were able to pet her and appreciate that she is the best dog in the world.” Garner stock.
Before his death, Birdy shared YouTube shows with Garner, including: “A book with birdies” Because she liked having books read to her.

In addition to being YouTubers, Garner and Birdie have also been featured on shows such as: WeRateDogs’ YouTube show “WeWalkDogs”The actress revealed that the dog became a therapy dog at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
On an episode of WeWalkDogs, Garner revealed that Birdie was Violet’s 10th birthday present.
“My oldest son was 2 years old and decided he needed a dog of his own and was always talking about it.” The actress reveals.
“And I said, ‘At 10 years old, you’re old enough to maybe get your own dog.’ I thought I’d forget because he was only 2 years old, but now I have Birdie. .”
Garner writes: “She lived a happy dog life and now plays the role she was born to play: angel girl.”
Garner ended his emotional post to Birdie with the following: “It’s a gift to love and be loved by a creature like Birdie the dog.”
