If you’ve been on the internet for any length of time, you probably know who Clark G the Dog was. Sadly, the dog who went viral in 2011 for “talking” to his owner passed away in June of this year.
Clark G. the Dog is one of the most famous dogs on the Internet and a huge hit on YouTube. This Dutch shepherd was featured on “ “The ultimate dog bully”was uploaded by the channel Talking animals.
Since being uploaded to YouTube in 2011, the video has garnered over 200 million views and over 1 million likes.
In the video, Clark’s owner teases him about meat in a box that he and the cat ate but didn’t share with Clark.
In the channel’s voiceover, Clark can be heard “talking” to his owner, expressing his frustration at not getting his maple bacon, steak and chicken.
On June 5th, Clark’s owners announced that the much-talked-about dog had passed away. Facebook PageThe owner wrote: “It is with great sadness that Clark has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.”
“Our family is heartbroken over his passing. Clark had such a big personality!!! Mom will miss Clark following her around the house and ‘yelling’ every time he came home from wherever he was. Dad will miss Clark always begging for treats and snacks.” The owner shared it.
Clark’s owner also took the opportunity to thank all Clark’s supporters. “The best fans in the world”.
They expressed their gratitude, “Clark’s fame is accidental, but I know there was a reason behind it. Together we have saved so many dogs and will continue to do so. You all give hope for the future of humanity. You are amazing!”

Clark passed away in June, but the sad news only became known online in August.
On August 26, user @slater_paul uploaded a YouTube video of Clark to X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “May Clark rest in peace, our talking dog who made us laugh.”.
X-users quickly took to the internet to mourn the dog’s death, with comments like “Rest in peace Clark” beginning to trend.
One X user wrote: “One of the greatest videos in the history of the internet. May Clark rest in peace. Thank you for making us laugh over the years.”
“There’s plenty of bacon on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge” another user wrote.
Clark G. the Dog was 15 years old at the time of his death. Started life He started out as a stray puppy, but when he was eight weeks old, he was adopted by an owner who changed his life forever – and the rest is history.
