As pet owners, we love our furry friends dearly, but let’s face it – pets can leave behind hair, smells, and stains that can be difficult to deal with.
Don’t worry, we’ve got some innovative cleaning tricks to keep your home looking and smelling fresh, no matter how many four-legged friends you have.
“Pet care expert, co-founder and CEO Andrew Leal said: Wagelintroduces innovative cleaning techniques tailored specifically for pet owners, helping you keep your home clean without sacrificing the fun you can have with your pet friends.
Calming the Fur Tornado
“Pet hair seems to stick to every conceivable surface,” Andrew jokes.
To combat this furry enemy, try using rubber gloves and squeegees to collect hair from furniture and carpets, lint rollers and duct tape work well on clothes, and don’t forget to vacuum regularly with a vacuum attachment designed for pet hair.
Eliminates odors and stains
Accidents can happen and if not dealt with promptly, pet odors can linger.
Andrew says: “Baking soda is your secret weapon here – sprinkle it liberally onto the stained area, let it sit for a while and then vacuum it up.”
For tough stains, use an enzyme-based cleaner that breaks down organic matter and neutralizes odors.
Cleaning pet stains
Accidents happen, but with the right approach they can be cleaned up quickly and effectively.
“For removing stains caused by pet urine, waste and vomit, enzyme-based cleaners are the best option,” Andrew explains. “These cleaners break down the proteins in the stain, eliminating both the stain and the odor.”
A homemade solution that works well is a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap. Apply the mixture, let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe it off with a clean cloth.
An environmentally friendly solution
If you prefer a more natural approach, try making your own pet-friendly cleaning solution.
“A simple mixture of vinegar and water can do wonders for surfaces,” explains Andrew, “and essential oils like lemon and lavender can help purify the air.”
Regular maintenance is key
Consistency is very important when it comes to keeping your home clean and pet-friendly.
Establish a routine for vacuuming, mopping, and spot cleaning and stick to it – this will not only keep your home looking its best, but it will also help prevent the buildup of pet hair, odors, and dirt.
Andrew says, “Pets bring so much joy, fun and love into our lives, but the truth is, they also come with their own unique cleaning challenges. By implementing these innovative cleaning tips, pet owners can enjoy a clean and fresh home while also enjoying the company of their beloved furry friends.”
