One strong example of this impact was done in Fall 2024 in Iris Domestic Violence Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Before becoming pet friendly, shelters often faced heartbreaking choices. They either chase away the survivors for refusing to leave their pets behind or ask them to abandon the animals for protection.

Why is this so important? In many abuse situations, pets are used as leverage by abusers, making it even more difficult for survivors to escape. But with your help, it has changed.

  • 2 Chain Link Player For outdoor dog play

  • 10 dog dog kennel (5 indoors, 5 outdoors) New doghouse building provides a dog day care-like environment

  • Catio mounted on two windows For indoor cats to enjoy safe outdoor views

  • Complete furniture Storage room Shelves and essential pet supplies in stock

  • Pet concentrate items
