The vet also scanned the dog for a microchip, and to everyone’s surprise, the dog was microchipped. This means that at some point he had a house and an owner.
The rescue workers were filled with anticipation. They thought the dog was a stray, but it seemed like it might be reunited with its family. The possibility of a lost dog being reunited with its rightful owner is gratifying, and the team eagerly contacted the number associated with the microchip.
However, the response they received was not what they expected. When they arrived at their owners, their excitement quickly turned to disbelief. The owner coldly told Bobbi that her dog had run away from home and that she didn’t want to keep him anymore. Rescue workers were stunned. They could not understand how anyone could turn their backs on such a kind soul, especially after learning about the hardships he has faced.
