Welcome to Catster’s Wednesday Cat! Every month, we ask cat-loving Catsters to weigh in on a new topic. This week we asked them, “What do you like most about your cat?” What’s your cat’s favorite thing? Here’s what they have to say.

crystal & ivy

Just like we humans have our favorite things, kittens also have their favorite things. Here are some of Ivy’s all-time favorites.

As we all know, cats love to sleep. And as we get older, we spend even more time sleeping.

That being said, sleep is very important to Ivy. she absolutely really like I sleep until late in the morning. Most days I’m up by 8am to be with them. Ivy only gets out of bed around 11am. During this time, she must not be disturbed. In exactly the same way.

She has two favorite spots on her bed. above The face or between the legs. She has definitely made me change the way I sleep, but I love that she still sleeps with me even if I’m uncomfortable. I thought this was something she would grow out of, but thankfully it wasn’t. She also likes cuddles, but in typical cat fashion, only when it suits her.

Another of Ivy’s absolute favorites is a treat called “.”Biscuit.My fiancé started a morning ritual where Ivy would jump up on the cat tree and then get a few pats on the butt – and of course a few biscuit treats!

Even on days when my fiancé is not at work, she expects me to pat her butt and give her a treat. She would (eventually) get out of bed, run to the cat tree, and meow, all the while giving me the “death stare”. Also, if I forget to put the treat container away, the cat will 100% of the time try to knock it over and open it (I succeeded several times. As a result, the treat container is out of reach of the cat. (It is stored in a safe place.) . Surely she would risk one of her nine lives for a piece of Biskity!

She wasn’t very interested in traditional cat toys sold at pet stores. After spending some pretty questionable amounts on various toys, we discovered a fan favorite: ping pong balls.

Just bouncing a ball on the floor is enough to get her attention. We live in a two-story townhouse with a loft on the second floor. When we play together, I throw a ping-pong ball from the first floor toward the loft, and Ivy dashes to the top floor chasing the ping-pong ball. On nights when I’m feeling especially wild, I spend what feels (and sounds) hours chasing balls around the loft. Very noisy, but very cute!

She is a really simple girl! Snoozes, snacks, and ping pong balls are such a small price to pay for the unconditional love and laughter she gives us.

isabel and millie

Millie and I are actually two girls from different races who have a lot in common. For example, Millie loves to eat when given treats. I also rarely turn down offers of food. Milly loves lying in the sun. She even knows which rooms get the most sunlight at certain times of the day.

Similarly, I like to spend time soaking up the sun, tanning, doing yoga, and gardening. We’re both sassy, independent, don’t really like crowds, love Netflix and chilling, and are obsessed with each other.

Let’s talk more about Millie’s other favorite things.

First, her favorite nap spot. Her cat tree has this half-pipe cylindrical spot, which she claims is her all-time favorite spot. Situated right out the front window, you have beautiful views of the mountains, the golf course, a large garden with a boardwalk where you can see lots of furry human passers-by, and a variety of flocks of birds flying around.

A new but strong candidate for her favorite napping spot is she hepper nest bed It is conveniently located above my desk where I spend most of my day. She loves being by my side while I work. I keep a small duster on standby to clean my desk 5-10 times a day. Because out of the 8 hours I’m there a day, about 5 are spent bouncing around my setup.

She was really impressed when I put the nest on her desk. She comes close to me and strokes me while I work. And you can actually see the screen without cat hair flying around. It’s a win-win.

What I like most about Millie is that even though she’s not a very affectionate and cuddly cat, she still wants to be close to me. She chooses me every day, which is an incredible honor.

wes & raphy

What I like most about Raffy is his presence. Now, I don’t mean that in the way you’re thinking. Raffy loves being around us when we’re home and thinks he’s the most wonderful companion. When I’m sitting on the floor, he comes and sits on the floor next to me. I’d be sitting on the couch and he’d curl up in the seat next to me. And if I’m in the bathroom…well…the less said, the better! Will he act indifferent? sometimes. But I know deep down that he loves me just by having him there. Sometimes, when Rafael wakes up from his lazy nap during the day and gets the urge to play with us, he can’t find us.

He suddenly cries out before you blink slowly.

“Meow!” “Meow! “

Roughly translated, I think it means something like this:

“Hey! Where is everyone?!”

we shout back:

“Raphy, I’m here!”

He comes at great speed in the direction he was instructed, slightly surprised.

His presence always makes me feel so lucky to have such a quiet (and sometimes not-so-quiet) companion when he joins me in the mundane work that I spend so many hours doing in the moment. It reminds us of that fact. in our lives. I’m just happy to be a part of our day.
