If you’ve ever wondered how far dogs will go (both literally and figuratively) to bark at birds, you’ve got your answer here.

On Monday, October 14, a paraglider spotted a white dog barking at birds atop the Great Pyramid of Giza, the tallest man-made structure for nearly 4,000 years and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

in Astonishing footageIn , paraglider Marshall Mosher is seen soaring high into the desert sky above Egypt’s largest pyramid, and as he zooms in on the top of the pyramid, he spots a dog casually roaming atop it.

“A dog climbed the Great Pyramid of Giza!” Mosher wrote in the caption of a video uploaded to Instagram.

The video has since gone viral, garnering around 800,000 likes on Instagram.

Many on the platform joked about this strange situation. One user wrote: “If he urinates there, all Egypt will be his.”

Another user said the dog was the Egyptian god Anubis. “It’s not a dog. That’s the Egyptian god Anubis. He’s considered the guide of the dead in the afterlife and the guardian of tombs. That’s why it’s beyond the pyramids.”

However, some people can’t help but worry about their dog’s safety and whether or not they made it down the mountain safely.

Thankfully, Ms. Mosher has made several more follow-up videos of her dog encounters to reassure users that the dogs are safe.

in first follow up videoMarshall showed footage of him paragliding back to the top of the pyramid with pyramid dogs, which are thought to live in the area.

Unfortunately, the dog at the top of the pyramid was no longer there. “I have no idea how he got up there…It’s just crazy.” Mosher said.

This led to further concerns from users. So Mosher uploaded Second follow-up video A photo of him paragliding over the pyramid again shows the dog casually descending down the pyramid.

“During the annual @skyone.egy paramotor event on top of the pyramids, a dog was spotted climbing to the top of the Great Pyramid of Khafre.” Mosher wrote in the caption of his video.

“After going back to look for it, we found another location where it was running. He apparently lives there :)”

and, Final follow up videoMosher shows a clip of the dog descending the pyramid again, but this time almost reaching the bottom.

“Just as these ancient monuments withstood the test of time, built stone by stone through sheer will, grit and vision, so too can we build a lasting legacy if we relentlessly pursue our dreams. can be produced.” Mosher wrote.

“Whether that dog dreams of flying over the pyramids or seeing the most spectacular view in all of Egypt!”
