For the first time in his life, a deaf cat has a clean and comfortable place to live. She is truly living up to her new name.

The New York City Little Wanderers rescue team responded to a request to help rescue a large number of cats living in hoarding conditions.
After searching the trash-filled apartment, the cats were brought to safety with additional help from an animal shelter. Some of the felines looked at the cat with sad blue eyes.
Although she looked exhausted, she was relieved to have been rescued. After being taken to the vet for treatment and cleaning, the sparkle returned to her eyes.

After eating food, she began to relax, let down her guard, and accepted pets from those around her. Without hissing or slapping, she leaned over to the volunteers to scratch her head and melted into their hands.
After being thoroughly examined and spayed, she was placed in the care of foster volunteers and affectionately named “Cloud 9.”

After living in poor conditions with many other cats, Cloud 9 was surprised by his new foster home, filled with furniture he could jump on, toys he could play with, and large windows to look out on. She was happy to no longer have to fight for food and space, and she claimed every inch she touched.
Finding a large bed, she collapsed onto the soft bedding and purred to sleep.

Eventually, she began walking around the house, examining everything in her path. She explored the bathroom from the sink to the bathtub and took a sip from the faucet, mesmerized by the flowing water.
It quickly became apparent that Cloud 9 was deaf, but that didn’t slow her down one bit.

Confident and affectionate, she greets people as soon as they enter the room. She loves attention and follows them everywhere, never missing a chance to get a treat.
Cloud 9 finds a favorite perch next to a screened window, where he breathes in the fresh air and watches the day go by.

“Like many all-white animals, she is deaf, but despite this, she is adventurous and loves to play, exploring every nook and cranny of the house.” Little Wanderers NYC shared. “Sudden movements startle her, so she does her best as the only kitten in the house (without children).”
She does not like to be surprised, but she likes to watch the sun’s rays go up and down the walls and tries her best to catch them.

After a life spent in cramped and dirty conditions, she is thriving as a solo cat in a comfortable home. She has space to run, toys to chase, and most importantly, a human to worship. She lives up to her name as she is always cheerful and ready for anything.
Cloud 9 likes boxes. No matter the size, she curls up inside and fits perfectly every time.

“She’s wearing the most beautiful white fur coat, which brings out her beautiful blue eyes. She’s very playful and has a lot of energy.”
When she’s not running around, she takes naps anywhere she likes, even on the refrigerator, and enjoys the quiet time.

After nearly four months in foster care, Cloud 9 is ready to find his own place.
Cloud 9, resting contentedly on the table with his chin resting on a stuffed animal, dreams of becoming someone’s one and only.
