Crumbs, the world’s heaviest cat, dies due to obesity and deadly tumor

Crumbs, the heaviest cat in the world, died on Saturday. Veterinarians believe his obesity was probably hiding a cancerous tumor that caused his death. Earlier this year, a cat named Krosik (which means “crumb” in English) made headlines after he was rescued from the basement of the Russian hospital where he grew up. The feline survived on scraps, biscuits, and soup, and this unusual diet resulted in it weighing 38 pounds. Mr. Krams then arrived at a special weight loss center in Perm, where he lost seven pounds just before dying from multiple organ failure.

Why was Crumbs’ tumor undetected until it was too late?

Following Clams’ tragic death, veterinarians at the Perm Cat Feeding Center have revealed why his tumor went undetected. They believe the world’s heaviest cats have layers of flab, and their obesity may be preventing cancerous tumors from showing up on scans. These tumors reportedly developed in his spleen and other internal organs, and despite losing 7 pounds, it was too late for him.

To quote NewX: new york post said that on October 26, Clams, the world’s heaviest cat, developed difficulty breathing and eventually died. Galiana More, the owner of the cat shelter that treated the cat, believes his fatal tumor caused multiple organ collapse. Mr More argued that a complete post-mortem examination may not be able to determine the exact cause of death. She added that it is “very difficult” to rule out whether the world’s heaviest cat died from obesity or a cancerous tumor.

Additionally, they revealed that they “constantly monitored” Crumbs’ health and conducted routine tests on the cat before it died, which showed normal results. “Cats always follow through. We don’t see this disease,” More said, adding that the obese cats did not have “shortness of breath” or “digestive problems.”

Crumbs’ caretaker kept him on a strict exercise regimen and nutritious diet at a cat feeding center. But they now know that “sometimes even the strongest cats can’t handle it” and that “miracles” don’t always happen despite their best efforts.
