The cat Rogers (aka Buddy Boy) was a neighbourhood fixture, town story, and loved by many.

He regularly visited their gateways and quickly became an icon of his beloved community.

He ran down the block as if he owned it, and went door-to-door with his neighbors to “shoot the breeze.” “He’ll make himself comfortable on the porch, stare at the windows and spread out onto the sidewalk to rub his belly,” shared Tales, a local animal rescue.
He relaxed in his neighbor’s patio chair and patiently waited for them to come outside and join him.

He even attended a backyard party. There, he was lavished with snacks and all the attention he wanted. Although worshipped by all his neighbors, he still didn’t entertain the idea of becoming an indoor pet.
It all changed when they discovered he needed help.

They immediately took him inside safely and contacted Tail for assistance. “We worked with them to arrange a visit to the ER, and he suffered a soft tissue injury in his knee.
