In winter there is something that even the smallest act of comfort feels like luxury. A fireplace side nap, a thick blanket, and a slow pace suddenly become a must. The atmosphere of that season was shot entirely on a viral Instagram video of the cat, which comes with a surprisingly large snoring soundtrack for a winter nap.
Cat Snoring Takes over Room when Sleeps on Viral Video
Julia, a Tubby cat who lives in Melbourne, has been reviewed for her hilarious approach to staying warm this winter. In a now widely shared video posted by her owner, Julia is seen hiding under a cozy quilt and sleeping on the sofa in front of the fireplace. Apart from her snoring, the scene is peaceful, but it’s not quiet.
The cat owner added a caption to explain the cozy setup. It was Melbourne’s winter and we noticed that the fireplace continued to keep the house warm. Julia clearly made the most of the toast vibe and did a deep rhythmic snoring that attracted the attention of the internet. The sound was very prominent and some viewers joked that they thought the video had the wrong audio.
One viewer said, “She’s just got off 9-5,” as if Julia had come out of a long day in the office and collapsed in front of a fire. Another wrote that comparing the rumble to power tools, “I thought someone was using a chainsaw at home.” Dozens of cat parents screamed in sympathy and laughter, sharing their own stories of the loud diaper. “I’m happy to be not the only person with a cat snoring like a grown man,” someone wrote. Another added: “My cat snores like this and will be sleepy to hear him.”
Cats snoring are usually harmless, especially when in deep, relaxed sleep. It is more common in certain breeds, such as Persians and other flat cats, but can snore if they rest in a position that slightly restricts airflow. That said, if your snoring is sudden, unusually loud, or with symptoms such as wheezing or working breathing, it is best to consult your veterinarian. But most of the time, it is another loving and quirky feature that shows your cat is completely at ease.
