Last month, a white and orange cat was found washed away for food in a public housing complex between dumping areas.
For a while, the cat survived scraps from the garbage bag. “He dodged the car and slept warmly in the engine hood. One day a good Samaritan warned the little wanderer in his story,” Little Wanderers NYC shared.
When he called up courage, he emerged from hiding and began to seek attention. “He’s making friends and trying to rescue himself.”

The cat provided people and pets, approaching sweet and gentle brushing people. He was pleased to fill his belly with fullness when he was given food.
It was clear he did not belong to the streets, so volunteers from Little Wanderers New York joined in to help. “We’ve overloaded a lot of cats and rescue requests, but this seems easy.”

That night, when volunteers arrived to pick him up, a friendly cat came out of the trash can and created a beeline to greet her. “Cold, hungry, covered in filth, he didn’t expect help to come.”
After filling his stomach, he threw happily on the ground as if he was trying to persuade a new friend to take him. This time his wish came true.

A cat named Lincoln, rescued the night before President’s Day, was taken to a veterinary office where he received thorough examinations and necessary care. He quickly went to the staff and captivated them with his sweet and friendly nature.
“Through it, he never stopped showing love. He is incredibly loving and trusting. He deserves warmth, love and safety.”

He flops to the floor, rubbing his belly, trying to make up for the lost time. The rescue team quickly began to arrange foster parents for the right boy, ensuring he would make a soft landing before he was happy.
Lincoln was overjoyed with affection, so he stretched his toes into the air, experiencing pure bliss.

Rescue volunteer Linda welcomed Lincoln into her home. He escaped from his career and immediately asked her for attention. As he explored his new space, he stopped at the feeding station and was pleased to find fresh food.
“Friendly cats have it hard on the streets. Their survival skills are dull, and they are not used to hunting food, shelters or warmth. Lincoln was lucky. Thankfully, he found us.”

Within 30 minutes of arriving at foster parents, Lincoln discovered a chunk of toys and chose his favorite catnip-infused toy. He wrestled it with such vitality, kicked the bunny and quickly made himself in the house.
“We love this cat and can’t wait to see him shine.”

After a much-needed bath, Lincoln felt much better with his soft, clean coat. He enjoys relaxing on his scrackers, surrounded by toys in all directions, always ready to play. Dozing inside his toys has become the norm for this sweet boy.
Three weeks after being rescued, he blossomed into a loving companion, and is now ready to find his eternal home.

A few days after asking for rescue, Lincoln’s patience paid off. Now he fills his foster parents with gentle purrs and sweet crying, thanking the opportunity they have given him.
