I usually get to visit the University of Southern California several times during the academic year. But for some reason, USC wasn’t on the cat-approved list for this semester. Then some openings became available so my human asked if he could take one of them. They said yes, so maybe we were overlooked.
This event was held as part of the self-care event during the finals. This included crafts, mental health moments, snacks, and therapy pets. Everything looked really fun and relaxing.
The students loved having me there. They gave us a table opposite the tent where the dog was. (Dogs often get distracted by me when they see me.) And just about everyone I walk by stops to pet me and ask me what breed I am and how I became a therapy cat. I asked questions about myself, such as what happened to me. Usually one or two students linger most of the time I’m there, and that was the case this time as well.
Some of the students told my human about the cat they keep at home. A girl showed me a picture of a very cute long-haired cat posing outside. When humans asked where home was, it was Indonesia. Every time we visit, we get to meet students from all over the world, which is really great.
My therapy visits are booked for the rest of this year, but I hope to go again next semester.
