Noi, a blind cat, experienced her first fall this year. This video of an adorable kitten traveling through a whole new world quickly gained traction on Instagram. The cat had been in a critical condition since 2023, so he wasn’t able to have any fun. But now you have plenty of time to explore with your forever family, stimulating your senses of touch, smell, and sound.
Watch a blind cat enjoy his first fall
Autumn has finally arrived. This kitty can’t get enough of fall. On September 29, 2023, an Ohio-based foster family decided to give a pure white kitten a second chance at life. This little cat was very sick and his eyes were gradually becoming cloudy. It was later discovered that he had ocular FIP, and his kind foster parents raised enough money to pay for his treatment.
Noyi was very young when he first came to the shelter with his mother and siblings. The entire family suffered from upper respiratory infections and sadly many of them passed away. However, Noi not only survived the ordeal, but was also adopted into the family. Unfortunately, they returned him after six weeks, citing “lack of exercise” as the reason. Instagram post.
The shelter suspected animal abuse because the kitten’s eyes were purple and swollen. However, they soon realize that Noi is actually ill, and that is how he met his current family. The animal shelter reached out to the Ohio-based foster parent, who goes by @fost.er_kittens on Instagram. The blind cat was unable to be adopted, but is now enjoying the beautiful autumn weather with his loving forever family.
Temperatures are starting to drop and this is the first year that Neue can enjoy some fresh air. Pure white kittens sense changes in their surroundings through touch, smell, and sound.
This cat spends the fall differently than other felines because it is blind. Feel the next step and enjoy the changing seasons using your sense of smell. Additionally, the cat parent noted in one of her videos that Noy loves jumping on crunchy leaves, likely because the crunch stimulates the blind cat’s sense of sound.
