An “incredibly aggressive” decoy dog who was abandoned in the jungle with his five puppies has been given a second chance at life.

“She was being used as a fighting dog, or possibly a decoy dog. She was padlocked around the neck and abandoned in the jungle with her five puppies.” Harbison Written.
Mr Harbison said Britney was incredibly aggressive, and before he rescued the dog, she had already severely bitten two volunteers.
He explained: “At first I had to use a big stick to feed the puppies. The mother dog kept jumping on me. The puppies were covered in mites and in a terrible state.”
But Harbison realized Britney’s aggression was just the dog’s way of protecting its children. “She was just trying to protect them.” He wrote:
Harbison said it took a total of two weeks to rescue Britney and her puppies.
“It was a great feeling when I took her to the vet and took the padlock off.” He wrote:
Harbison also had all of Britney’s puppies treated for ticks. “It’s completely changed.” rear.
Luckily, all of Britney’s puppies did well and Harbison was able to put them up for adoption. “All five are thriving, living great lives and are neutered.” He reveals.
Britney grew to trust Harbison and has been living with him ever since, but Harbison said Britney was a difficult dog who could not trust anyone and would attack people and other dogs who did not trust her.
“I was frustrated and almost gave up many times” “But having known her life, Harbison was very patient with Britney,” she said.
He said, “Britney has recovered slowly. She tries to play but always ends up letting herself down. She doesn’t have the off button from her previous life.”
Although Britney isn’t as trusting as she used to be, Harbison said she’s come a long way: She now trusts around six or seven people to walk and socialize with her, and she has two canine friends.
Harbison said: “Not every rescue has a perfect, lovely happy ending.”It’s a small glimpse into how dog rescue isn’t always easy.
“It’s been very difficult but I’m so proud of Britney.” Harbison wrote: “She’s seen some horrible things in her life and when I look at her now she just seems like the happiest, most contented dog.”
Social media users were touched by Britney and the second chance she’s been given, with one X user writing: “Britney is doing very well considering what she’s been through. Unfortunately, just like humans, there are wounds that never heal and we carry those with us forever.”
“I’m so impressed with how far Britney has come! You have given me hope and your patience with her is what has made her successful.” another user wrote.
Another person said: “Brittany reminds us that there are no bad dogs, only bad people.”
Harbison further clarified: “I want to give my daughter a home, but I still worry. She needs order and security in her life.”
But social media users were unanimous in saying Britney is exactly where she needs to be, with one X user saying: “I think she’s in her forever home and is obviously happy with you, her room and her toys.”
