Why is Red Apple a big ingredient in dog treats (especially for allergic dogs)?
Red apples are dog-safe fruits that dogs can eat. There are four benefits of adding a red apple when making a dog treat for your dog:
– Adds natural sweetness
– A good source of fiber to support healthy dog digestion
– Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants to help combat inflammation
– Low fat – Perfect for dogs with special or hypoallergenic diets
Bonus Benefits: Apple Skin
Apple peels contain natural antioxidants and antihistamine quercetin. Quercetin is known to help:
– Can reduce allergic reactions
– Relieves inflammation
– Supports the immune system
Important reminders: It is not safe for your dog, so make sure to thoroughly wash the apples and remove the core and seeds.
Benefits of Spirulina in Dogs
Spirulina is a blue-green algae superfood, safe for dogs and has nutrients for dog health.
Spirulina is known to help support the immune function of dogs and reduce inflammation. It also promotes healthy skin and coat and can help manage allergies.
