A kitten named Pebbles came to Alley Cat Rescue looking for a chance at a better life. She had severe leg injuries and was barely able to walk.
Pebbles, who weighed just 1.4 pounds, had trouble moving but was determined to live. While waiting for surgery, volunteers kept her in a quiet, comfortable space and took plenty of time to reassure her that she was loved.
Despite everything, Pebbles purred when his foster parents touched him and leaned in to scratch his head.

Because of her limited mobility, volunteers spoon-fed her and helped her eat. She devoured it, loving every bite. This little fighter was full of energy and had a big appetite.
They took Pebbles to a veterinary hospital where life-saving surgery was performed. Her damaged leg was removed, giving her the best chance at life.

“The results were extraordinary. Just hours after surgery, Pebbles was standing on all three legs and already showing signs of recovery,” Alley Cat Rescue said.
The pain was gone and she was more mobile and enjoyed relaxing in her cozy bed and kneading it with one of her paws. As she healed, she adapted to life as a troupe, regained her strength, and moved around with a playful energy.

Koishi made an excellent recovery from the surgery. Although people were paying attention to her, she always craved a friend to play with and nap with. They knew the perfect cat family to introduce her to.
“She was feeling lonely during her healing process, so we introduced her to her mother cat, Saffron, and her little babies.”

Saffron gave birth to kittens in late November. With five hungry mouths, she was grateful for the kind humans who took care of her needs. Thanks to 24-hour “room service,” she can finally focus on caring for her children and not worry about the next meal.
The kittens became more active and curious as they opened their eyes and started using their paws.

The foster parents placed cute tripods around Saffron and the kittens, hoping that they would accept Saffron. Mom immediately welcomed Pebbles with nuzzles and cuddles. She lovingly washed her face and welcomed her into the crew.
Pebbles was overjoyed and followed his new family everywhere, purring constantly and watching their every move with curiosity.

Even a tripod doesn’t slow her down. She is thriving with a family of cats who open their paws to hug her. She may have lost a limb, but she gained a new life, a bright future, and many siblings to grow up with.
