A sweet pit bull mix who was abandoned by his owner and found with only a stuffed dog has gone viral on TikTok, breaking the hearts of thousands of people.
The abandoned dog was later named Squishy by the animal shelter where he was rescued, but was first spotted by a TikTok user. @devil_nyxx. The user then uploaded a video of Squishy on Friday, November 8th.
“We found this cute little boy dumped outside our home, damp and without tags or collar.” TikTok user @devil_nyxx wrote in the caption.
In the video, Squishy can be seen reluctantly walking towards the TikTok user, wagging his tail and holding a stuffed animal in his mouth.
“He was shy at first, but then he slowly walked over and laid on top of me.” Nix wrote. “It shows he once had a home. This is cruel, my heart aches for him.”

The uploaded video was approximately six minutes long, and at the two-minute mark, Squishy finally approached Nix and rested his head on her lap, enjoying the pet without letting go of the stuffed animal in his mouth.
TikTok users were devastated by Squishy’s situation. But some wondered if Nyx had really been abandoned because she appeared clean and healthy.
One user wrote: “His stuffiness looks nice! Why do you think he was abandoned? Maybe he was trying to get home.”
However, another TikTok user pointed out how the dog seemed to be returning to a certain spot. they explained, “He didn’t want to leave that place and kept coming back. So you can tell he didn’t want to leave because he was abandoned there and waiting for humans to come back.”
Nix later revealed that after giving Squishy water and food, he took him to Pet Circle Waco.

The animal shelter revealed that the dog was bonded to a stuffed dog. “He loves playing with all kinds of toys and loves a good pet. He is so sweet and will melt your heart!”
Additionally, Squishy is a 2-year-old pit bull terrier mix who was brought to the shelter on Nov. 8, according to the animal shelter’s website.
Squishy is currently in an orphanage and living with another TikTok user. @Brooke Reesewho stitched Nyxx’s Squishy video.
