A South Florida animal rights activist shares the heartbreaking story of an elderly dog who was abandoned by his family of 13 years.
Dali etc. @_thatdogirl_shared Ammo’s story in a video on TikTok, which currently has about 2 million views and 230,000 likes.
Dali reveals that Amo has been living with his family for 13 years. And since he was the baby of the family, they abandoned him in a shelter “He stepped on the tail and bit the baby.”.
The animal rescuer further revealed that when the family left, the dog continued to cry at the door and appeared very confused and scared.
In the video shared by Dali, the dog can be seen with a visibly sad expression on his face even while being petted and petted.

TikTok users were shocked to hear about Amo’s situation and furious at the irresponsibility of his former family.
one TikTok user wrote. “You had this guy for 13 years and then you threw him in a shelter because you couldn’t watch the kids and you couldn’t protect the old dog? People are terrible. I hope he gets the love he deserves. I hope you will.”
“There is no need for puppies to spend their old age in a shelter.” another person wrote.
Others shared experiences where their dog bit a child, but they took responsibility for the situation because their pets are family too.
