A Marine waits for three dogs he rescued in Iraq, but they look stunned at the airport.

There’s nothing we love more than being reunited with our dogs. Especially the soldiers who protect us and our country! And this is a story that will definitely warm your heart, enjoy. Please watch till the end and tell your friends and family!



Captain Watkins became acquainted with three dogs while in Anbar, Iraq. He discovers Hesco, Wendy, and Rooster are young homeless dogs eating garbage in the desert. The three dogs supported him in every way and gave him a sense of optimism during difficult times.

Once the mission was complete, Chief Petty Officer Watkins not only shared a meal with the dogs, but also promised to return to pick them up when he was done. As a result, the soldier was released from military service and upon his return requested further assistance from SPCA International and Operation Baghdad Pups.



After four months of difficult procedures and surgeries, Captain Watkins was able to get the three dogs on a plane to San Diego. He was overjoyed to be reunited with the dogs and give them a good home, but was a little worried that the dogs wouldn’t recognize him anymore.

In this clip, Captain Watkins opens the crate door, greets each dog one by one, and watches as a precious reunion unfolds. The dogs looked surprised after the long and arduous journey and took some time to recover.

The dogs are ecstatic to learn that their old friend has kept his promise and rescued them from a terrible situation. Finally, they embrace him and prepare a home full of eternal love!
