Concerned local residents heard screams coming from an alley and found the gray tabby hiding in a pile of logs. The kitten stuck itself into the pile and wouldn’t come out.
The discoverer began leaving food out to get the kitten to come out of its hiding place. She remained hidden and only ventured far enough to eat.
The kitten cried for its mother for four days, but her mother never returned. The discoverer turned to the community and asked for help in getting the young child to safety.

“Two of our volunteers, Haley and Sarah, saw the post on a neighborhood Facebook group and immediately went to help,” Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue shared with Love Meow.
“Thankfully, they were able to move the wood and get the little kitten to safety.”

Once freed from the predicament, the kitten’s demeanor changed instantly.
She found comfort in the arms of her rescuers, leaning into their gentle caresses. After living in fear for days, her cries stopped as she absorbed the love she craved.

“It’s natural for the kitten to be scared after this ordeal. She’ll never be cold or hungry again.”
They tucked her under their jackets to keep her warm and calm. The kitten melted into their embrace and the fear disappeared. Volunteers quickly secured a foster home for her, giving her a safe place to make a new start.

Within a few days, the kitten, named Friday, came out of his shell and really grew up. She enjoyed having food to eat all day long, lots of toys to jump on and wrestle with, a cat tree to scale, and the company of her human and furry friends.
She quickly felt full, her coat was soft and shiny, and her energy levels soared.

After getting lost outdoors, Friday decided he would never be alone again. She clung to her companions and basked in their affection.
Those who rescued her may never know how she ended up all alone, but she is now surrounded by loving humans and friends, in a well-cared for room. I spend my days as a cat.

Friday likes to play “tetherball” by the cat post and is always entertaining people with his antics. She is fascinated by the clock on the table, watching the hands move as if on a mission.
Seeing how much she grew in her foster home, they were sure they would soon find her the perfect family.

Thanks to compassionate rescue workers, Friday was saved from an uncertain future. She found courage in her foster home and learned to get along with other animals. She grew up as a spoiled house cat and wouldn’t have been accepted any other way.
