They ventured into their new digs and quickly felt at home. At 4-5 weeks of age, their demands for attention and play double.

Eventually, they settled in the most comfortable place they could find in the house – on the shoulders or laps of their adoptive mothers.

The kittens enjoy a spacious play area, but are especially happy to have a canine friend to keep them company.

Kona, who thinks of herself as a cat, welcomed us wholeheartedly. She hugged them in their new bed and gently washed their faces, like a mother would. The kittens loved it and absorbed the affection by purring loudly.

When the kittens met Mikan, the native cat, they hit it off and followed her around like family. Mikan felt uneasy about the shadow that resembled him, but the constant purring sound calmed him down.

“They’re non-stop purring machines. The only time they don’t purr is when they’re running around wreaking havoc in the room.”
