A family applied to adopt a kitten, but when they brought it home from the shelter, they were accompanied by two very cuddly cats who were meant to be kept for them.
Kermit and FozzieExploits Valley SPCA
About two months ago, two close-knit sibling cats came to Exploits Valley SPCA after their previous owners could no longer care for them.
The Muppets, named Kermit the tabby and Fozzie the black cat, curled up side by side in their kennel, comforting each other. Fozzie, the shyer of the two, leaned on his brother as they navigated this new world together.
After spending their entire lives as a pair, the shelter hoped to find them a forever home where they would never be apart.

Once they moved into a spacious room furnished with a cat tree, toys and plenty of comfy beds, the two brothers thrived and came out of their shells. As they opened up to the staff and volunteers, their lovable personalities came through and they won everyone’s hearts.
“These are some of the sweetest cats you can imagine and just need to cling to your hands and feet at all times,” the SPCA said.

Kermit would often wait by the door, peering through the glass and stretching out his paws as if beckoning visitors to come and play with him. When someone walked into the room, both cats would jump to their feet, eager for attention.
The cats spun around their owners’ legs, stroking them, then stood on their tiptoes and clung to their owners with their paws, engulfed in affection.

Kermit and Fozzie, who are estimated to be 2 years old, are still kittens at heart. They are crazy about people, rubbing their faces against our hands and legs in an attempt to convince us to stay. For these adorable duo, nothing beats human friendship.
“Kermit and Fozzie are not your average brothers. They love people.”

They were looking for “someone who is very affectionate and understands their need for love.”
Around that time, Breanne and her family began searching for a feline companion. They applied for two kittens through the SPCA, only to find out later that the kittens had already been adopted. As they continued their search for an adorable pet, they came across a pair of loving feline siblings.

Breanne was enthralled by their bond and their insatiable thirst for love, and when she recognized their names, Kermit and Fozzie, she knew they were the ones the family was looking for.
“She said her late mother was a huge Muppets fan and she felt like the Muppets were destined to be created from the beginning.”

After a few weeks at the shelter, Kermit and Fozzie joined the loving home of Breanne and her family, where they settled in immediately as if they had lived there their whole lives, napping wherever was convenient and always the best of friends.
Kermit is still a very cuddly cat, and his brother Fozzie follows suit.

The two cats are enjoying watching cat TV while soaking up the warm sunlight by the window. When one of them jumps onto the cat tree, the other quickly follows suit.
They play together, nap together, and demand their owner’s attention as a team.
