A cat who has been trying to “save himself” for nearly half a year finally got his wish this winter.

According to reports, the white cat had been wandering around the neighborhood for nearly six months. He would follow passersby or wait outside building entrances.
When Little Wanderers NYC (an animal rescue organization) received a request to help a stray dog, they immediately sprang into action. “When I saw the cat fighting and getting injured, I rushed over with a can of sardines,” said a volunteer rescue worker.
“When I arrived, he was meowing and following people, clearly looking for food and help.”

The hungry cat ran straight into a humane trap and devoured the canned food. When the door closed, he didn’t flinch, as if he had been waiting for this moment.
“I feel reassured that he is now safe and will get the opportunity he deserves.”

They lovingly named the cat Winter and took her to the vet for the emergency treatment she needed.
The veterinary team treated him for a fracture in his left front leg and several bite wounds. With plenty of rest, nutritious food, and plenty of nutrition, Winter is finally on the mend and ready to move into a foster home.

They had been looking for shelter for a long time, and now they were able to escape from the cold and hunger. At first I was scared and held back, but as the days passed, my confidence grew.
“He’s doing very well in the foster care facility and learning how to be an indoor cat. He’s coming back.”

Winter spent several weeks resting and recovering from her injuries, becoming accustomed to the comforts of indoor life. He looked forward to mealtime and cherished his cozy cat bed, where he found peace and comfort.
Once his leg was fully healed, his beautiful personality began to blossom.

With the help of cat treats, Winter learned to enjoy affection from people. “He’s very brave and well adapted to life.”
“Most of the time he’s a sleepy kid, resting up. He’s very talkative and wants affection, but he just does what he wants, mainly by nuzzling his feet and It’s about patting yourself on the back.”

“He’s still sensitive to sudden movements, but he’s already made great progress.”
In winter, they start playing with toys and become obsessed with Actinidia. Throughout the day, he enjoys beautiful naps in his trusty bed, arms outstretched without a care in the world.
